Parmerit was responsible to design & build robotic weld cell for various lengths & diameters of tube. First, the robots EOAT will load 2 flanges into the flange positioners. When the cell has loaded each flange into position, the robot will place the tube in the centre for each flange to be inserted into the end of the tube. The robotic welders will complete an “inside” or “corner” weld depending on the tube variation. Multiple length & diameter tubes can be loaded & complete in this cell. It is a matter of simply changing the program to the appropriate tube dimensions.
