Role Purpose:      The Sales and Customer Relations Representative will take charge of developing business solutions to increase revenue. They will own the customer experience and ensure we are constantly improving to help our customers win. They will manage current customer accounts, provide insight to the organization on new products and market opportunities, and ensure consistent year over year revenue growth.

Reports To:           General Manager

This is a key role in Parmerit’s growth strategy and requires the right person with the potential to grow, the motivation to excel, and the right qualifications / experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage exceptional relationships with our customers
  • Increase customer base and market penetration for the Machining, Automation, and Systems business
  • Work with Leadership to develop and support growth strategies and plans
  • Identify and map business strengths and customer needs
  • Generate leads and reach out to prospective customers
  • Identify innovative ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements
  • Qualify new business prospects and build an active, high potential prospect list
  • Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth
  • Make recommendations to leadership regarding improvements to our service model
  • Prepare and present quarterly goals and forecasts for future projects
  • Ensure the company maintains a high profile and professional image through active participation in industry association
  • Maintain in depth knowledge of business/products to educate and advise customers
  • Participate in corporate marketing activities, such as conferences, trade shows and open house events
  • Facilitate regular sales, opportunity management meetings
  • Ensure Sales KPI’s are met

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Business Development or Marketing degree
    • Postsecondary degree or diploma in business, marketing, economics will be considered
  • 3-5 years of sales experience
    • Closing, prospecting, sales planning, selling to customer needs, territory management skills
