Bracket Machining & Assembly Cell

Overview:

This cell consisted of 3 stations.
Cell 1 - pierced a number of holes
Cell 2 - tapped 4 holes
Cell 3 - operator installed four studs utilizing blow fed DC torque tool. Final assembly checked for all components. Pick and place unit unloaded parts into accept or reject chute.

Achievements:

The final cycle time achieved 45 seconds.
The cell layout makes operator movement between stations easy, helping to reduce fatigue and maintain productivity.
